Tolis Tatolas was born in Greece and currently lives and works as an interdisciplinary artist in Athens. He holds a BA (Hons) from the Vakalo College of Art and Design/University of Derby and a BSc (Hons) from the Department of Biology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He has had numerous solo shows and participated in group exhibitions in galleries, universities and museums in Greece, the UK, Brazil, the Czech Republic, Austria, the USA, Japan and Latvia. He has also designed the sets and costumes of many plays by major Greek and international playwrights including Ritsos, Genet, Sartre, Dostoyevsky and Mishima for Athenian theaters and institutions (Megaron - The Athens Concert Hall, New Greek Theater - George Armenis, Aggelon Vima, etc.). Works of his are held in private collections in Greece, Brazil, Canada, the Czech Republic, France, Italy, Japan, the UK and the USA.
